Twinkle Toes

One of the trickiest parts of completing the full ensemble for The Big Day.....shoes!!! Who knew?!?!

For a variety of reasons -- heel height, comfort, color, style -- it seems to be a place of contention for a sensible yet stylish bride.....Though we do have some really cute and comfy shoes from Grace shoes, it's sometimes fun to see what else is out there, especially in an area where you can infuse personal style!

Actually, we were in for a treat when gorgeous-elegant-humble-sweet-unbelievable Kate chose her classic Augusta Jones gown at The Bride Room! And finally, we get to share with the world!



These are guest photos - so we don't know who to credit - but we love them all the same! In fact, it seems perfect that to introduce Kate, it would be through the eyes of someone who loves her enough to share her most special day! We just kind of get the feeling that everyone in her life must love her, because she embodies that kind of authenticity and kindness....And oh! We could seriously blog for days about her mother and extended family who we had the great pleasure of meeting!

This Day in History

On July 29, 1981, Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles of Wales in The Wedding Watched Around the World....

Knowing what we know now, we acknowledge that there is a certain sadness veiwing these photos on their anniversary...

But sentiment aside, in this business, we revere the sheer magnitude of this well-orchestrated event.....doing what we do, we have to simply say...what a dress! What a wedding!



We get soooo many questions about what "other brides" do...and "is it okay if I....???" and "what does tradition call for???"

It's AWESOME to honor tradition and tie in elements of family weddings and time-tested rituals....but really and truly, it's YOUR wedding! Make it your own! Heck, Diana took 4 minutes to get down the aisle and she was toting a 25-foot train!

Real Wedding - Sweet Dianne!

Oh you know how we love our real weddings!

Sweet Dianne was married just this past Saturday...and we already have a peek at her gorgeous day!

The black & white photo was from Dianne's bridal portrait session at Cheekwood Botanical Garden...it was just too gorgeous not to include! She wore an exquisite Augusta Jones gown with a custom sweetheart neckline and matching veil- how gorgeous is she!!!



And it's always nice to see a bride and groom really enjoying their day! Dianne's bridesmaids were in Watters bridesmaids dresses in Tiffany - what a beautiful summer wedding photo that makes! :)



Hats off to you two for having fun and making some great memories!!! We wish you lots of love in the years to come!
