So, we're still on cloud nine from last night's festivities at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center:: The annual Spring Fashion Show sponsored by the lovely Gus Mayer store in Green Hills Mall... 

First I just have to THANK you all --- The Bride Room was well represented!!  During the cocktail hour Monique made her rounds with her precious husband Tom and after our original introduction, she stopped me again and said, "By the way, you are well represented tonight!  Everyone keeps telling me they wore our gown at their wedding and I say 'let me guess, The Bride Room!'" (I did my best not to *squeal* with delight - then I promptly asked her for a photo opp!) ....oh, Monique, how we adore you!!  She was so gracious as swarms of socialites and brides and press {and me!} asked for pose after pose...  Monique, I truly hope that you enjoyed the warm southern welcome you received!

Here are a few of my favorites from the show...  amazing how ready to wear and bridal cross over... so many of the gowns are in the bridal collection in white or ivory!!  Such fun to see them transition into bold color......

What a delight and a privilege to attend such a well appointed, well attended event... we were thrilled to be a part of it and will look forward to it from year to year.... special thanks to the sweet and talented Elizabeth Broyhill from the ever popular Monkees store in the Hill Center for inviting us to sit at her table... what a wonderful time!  Until next year....

Hey girls....Love, love, love the sunshine peeking through in Nashville....dare we believe summer really might be around the corner this time? Here's hoping :) :)

Fell madly in love with the Lhuillier collection we had this weekend...congrats to all the girls who found *the* dress...did several custom pieces, too -- LOVE doing something no one else will have! Fabulous!

Happy Wednesday, lovely ladies! So excited to share  with you....

The Lhuilliers are landing! Yes, yes, we received our first shipment of gowns for the trunk show and oh. goodness. Gorgeousness and style abound! A sneek peak....Grace (left) and Wallis (right) are here....You might recognize Wallis from the amazing ad campaign this year...and Grace is a sheath dress and separate tulle skirt!! So dreamy! So romantic! Love it!!!!

And have you checked out the new Monique Lhuillier website lately??? Better than ever! Includes a section about the lovely Monique herself and some fabulous family photos...and the photos of dresses online are now captioned with their names! Woo hoo! Love it!

Before we get started on today's musings, we must address a very important order of business:: the Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show!!!  If you don't already have your appointment you should call or email as soon as your little fingers will allow... space is VERY limited, as you can imagine, and we want you to get a chance to see the bridal perfection that is known as a Monique Lhuillier gown.... (partial, much?!)

One would think after 4 solid days of fashion shows and  gowns, jewelry and editors (and shopping!) that at some point we'd tire of the 24 hour world of bridal that is market week, yes? WRONG.  What did we do on the plane? Cover to Cover.  Word for Word. Picture by Picture. Magazines!!!  If you don't already own them, you should -- we found ourselves obsessed with the real weddings in all three of these magazines... from big to small, simple to over the top, the coverage on these weddings are brilliant -- three cheers for editorial inspiration!

Dear Monique,

We figured since this is our second love (stalker?) letter to you in thirty minutes, we could just call you by your first name. You don't mind, no?

We have been blogging about the fabulousness that is your Spring 2010 collection and thought we would post some pictures. We know they don't actually do justice to the craftsmanship of your beadwork or the quality of your fabric, but we wanted the world (er...the small corner of the world who reads this...) to see some semblance of this collection.  If anyone wants to see the pictures closer, they can click on it and it will enlarge.

Recap!

Suffice it so say you will NOT be disappointed in the Priscilla of Boston group gowns showcased last night in the runway show.....lots of jewels, full skirts, textures, layers, and soft fabric.....gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!  Did we mention they had a cupcake intermission during the show?? It really can't get any better!!!

Today we are off to meetings...mostly bridesmaids appointments...to see the new Jim Hjelm, Lazaro, and Lela Rose maids collections....stay tuned!!!!!!

Start Spreading the news!

So, we're here and we're ready!  After a day of shop, shop, shopping, (5th Avenue and Soho!) we are getting ready to leave for the Priscilla group show (read: Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet, Vineyard Collection, Platinum Collection) -- don't forget to tune in on brides.com for a live stream video - wow!  Where technology has taken us!

A sneak peek from the Amsale press show this afternoon -- we are *dying* over the ruffle collar on the middle gown... LOVE IT! More details to come when we see the collection up close and personal in the Amsale showroom on Monday morning.....
