What a Weekend!

Hello lovelies....

The fun thing about Trunk Shows like the one we just had is the insanity...all the appointments, all the brides and their families, all the dresses and jewelry!!! And in this very special case, the designer of the collection, too....The down side is we don't really have time to blog or tweet and keep you up to date....

Not to worry, that's why we're here today. :)

We kicked off our wonderful weekend with a full day of appointments, fabulous flowers from Brocade Designs, and the ever-delicious cupcakes from B. Jacksons.

Friday morning was full of incredibly sweet brides and their families. We could go on and on about them all but definitely want to make sure you know Nina...If you follow blogs, be sure and add hers to your regular visits. She's charming and girly and all things fashionable....we loved working with her and helping her find the dress! (Not that she needed our help...read this post to see how easy it was for her to find her gown! Amazing!!) Here's Nina (with Steph, below) and on Twitter, too (which is where the photo came from :)). A living doll, we tell you!

The day led into a private cocktail reception we held for our Platinum by Priscilla of Boston designer. We invited our friends and fellow bridal folks, and our brides who have worn - and will wear - Platinum gowns. It was, in a word, delightful.

Which brings us to Louise...some of you may already know her; perhaps in the bridal world you know her as The Thirty Something Bride. She came to our cocktail party Friday night with Tabitha, a planner and blogger for the amazing Ashley's Bride Guide. Louise was very observant and personable...she was right at home among her new friends, and with camera in hand documented many things we were not able to capture (see image of Platinum gown below...*swoon*). Q & A with the Designer!!!!

Girls! The amazing designer of the Platinum collection was kind enough to take some time to answer some questions from a few gals from little ol' Nashville....we were so excited to hear what he had to say, and he didn't disappoint.....read on and enjoy :)

PS:::for those of you with appointments this weekend, this is just a little preview of the fab designer you'll meet!! So exciting, right!!!

Trunk Show Reminder!

Hey ladies!! Hope you're all warm!!

We are back in full swing after the snowy weekend and looking so forward to our Priscilla of Boston Trunk Show February 19 + 20!!!

As you know, there will be gowns from each collection: Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet, PLATINUM, Vineyard Collection, and {introducing} Reverie.

It is always a fabulous weekend, full of amazing gowns...you surely don't want to miss!! We are filling up, however, and kindly request you call or email for your appointment so you don't miss what is always one of the most exciting events of the year! We are over the moon with our big announcement today!!

Hey friends!! A heads up....we're hosting our first Priscilla of Boston Trunk Show of 2010 the weekend of February 18 + 19.

The beauty of these trunk shows are that they are combined...we are able to show pieces from Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet, Vineyard Collection, and PLATINUM by Priscilla of Boston. It is truly a pleasure on this chilly winter day to introduce you to our sweet December bride Jennifer, who had a dreamy Christmas wedding just last month...

Jennifer knew very clearly from the beginning exactly what her vision for the day was....classic, clean lines and warm winter tones. Maybe we're biased, but we think she achieved just that and more with her timeless Vineyard gown and blackberry-toned maids gowns.

Jennifer was a dream to work with - accessible, warm, considerate, thankful....such a treat! She was SO excited to marry Adam and it was evident every step of the way....Jennifer, thanks for sharing your heart with us and letting us be a part of this day!! SO thankful for you and so glad that your day was all you dreamed of!!!

this weekend is busy! (and other thoughts!)

Officially, officially....happy 2010 from The Bride Room :)

We couldn't be more thankful for a fabulous 2009 or more excited about 2010. Hope your new year is off to a great start and you are staying warm!!!

We are already madly in love with so many dresses we are seeing in store and apparently you are too :) :) This Saturday is booking quickly, so if this is your weekend to begin, continue, or finalize dress shopping, please give us a ring or shoot us an email and we'll get you a spot....

That being said...we have a wonderful loft area for bridesmaids, and it is reserved all day Saturday except for two hours ... !!! When we reserve the loft, the bride and her party has exclusive access to the space, dresses, and changing area....which means it's not always possible to walk-in for bridesmaids...usually it's not a problem, but this weekend is especially maids-crazy! Please let us know if you will be looking for your girls this weekend!

The new collections continue to arrive in store....and oh they are fabulous! Check out the gorgeous Jim Hjelm above.... The full line of Lela Rose 2010 arrived today and they are really the cutest, most darling little dresses you have ever seen....do come to see....

We couldn't be more excited about the deliveries that continue to come in. Seriously, who gets to go to work and have dress after beautiful dress delivered??? This is way too fun!!!

We don't mean to sound so redundant, but Watters brides and bridesmaids are really beautiful this season...here's a sneak peak at some of the gorgeous new girls who came this week....

Carrie + Nathan | October 24, 2009

It must seem like every bride we blog about is a dream...or just a delight...or her family was fabulous and having her married makes us sad because we don't get to see her anymore....

And it's true - we do have an awful lot of love for our sweet girls, and we do have a very unique perspective in the planning process...But never have these words been more true than of our sweet October bride Carrie....

Carrie and her mom were absolute angels, with the sweetest approach to the wedding and all the gratitude anyone could ever have....and not just for the gorgeous wedding they were planning, but they were truly grateful for their families and the love in their life. It was so evident and so present every time we saw them. 2009 brought many brides to The Bride Room, and Carrie and her family will long be remembered as some of the sweetest and most gracious people we had the pleasure of knowing.....

Ladies, here's hoping you have a blessed holiday....pop in any time :) :)
