Last time we posted, we couldn't believe the timeliness of all the chatter going on about Amsale....just in time for our Trunk Show!!!

Imagine our surprise when today....the email came through that Amsale herself was going to be on Access Hollywood with one of the contestants from The Biggest Loser!!! She is just everywhere, that busy Amsale!!!!

Just thought I'd do a quick post on what a wonderful day this is... a day to be celebrated for certain!  If you've been in our store, you've met Stephanie - the beautiful, talented, ever so chic, self-described fashionista, Stephanie -- and I'm quite certain that even if you didn't find the gown of your dreams, you found a friend in Steph.  And if you did find the gown of your dreams, you've received countless encouraging, spirited emails and phone calls from her.  Well, today marks her year anniversary with The Bride Room and I wanted all of you to know what a joy she is to have as a part of The Bride Room family!   I thank my lucky stars day after day to have her and know that as one of our brides, you do too!   Three cheers for Steph and the amazing work she does for all of us!!!

Surprise Visit... What a Treat!

What a pleasure we enjoyed this morning... a surprise visit from world renowned designer Reem Acra!  To what do we owe this honor!?  Her brother is a Nashville resident and pediatric doc at Vanderbilt and better yet, just had a baby girl....  looks like the sweet eyes of baby have pulled at Reem's heartstrings and she has started her frequent visits to the Music City.  We were so pleased by Reem's visit today -- a simple chat about the industry and the city and then she was off...  and as soon as she left, we realized we didn't as much as THINK of a photograph!! Sorry to disappoint with no photographic evidence... guess you'll have to take our word that she was a delight and as charming as ever!  Many thanks, Reem, for making our Saturday... you are welcome anytime, as always!  Love Love....

OOOH what a week!!! We were not really sure how to follow up to the last post....so we decided of course! Fabulousness must be followed by more fabulousness :) :)

So, we're still on cloud nine from last night's festivities at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center:: The annual Spring Fashion Show sponsored by the lovely Gus Mayer store in Green Hills Mall... 

First I just have to THANK you all --- The Bride Room was well represented!!  During the cocktail hour Monique made her rounds with her precious husband Tom and after our original introduction, she stopped me again and said, "By the way, you are well represented tonight!  Everyone keeps telling me they wore our gown at their wedding and I say 'let me guess, The Bride Room!'" (I did my best not to *squeal* with delight - then I promptly asked her for a photo opp!) ....oh, Monique, how we adore you!!  She was so gracious as swarms of socialites and brides and press {and me!} asked for pose after pose...  Monique, I truly hope that you enjoyed the warm southern welcome you received!

Here are a few of my favorites from the show...  amazing how ready to wear and bridal cross over... so many of the gowns are in the bridal collection in white or ivory!!  Such fun to see them transition into bold color......

The Lhuilliers are landing! Yes, yes, we received our first shipment of gowns for the trunk show and oh. goodness. Gorgeousness and style abound! A sneek peak....Grace (left) and Wallis (right) are here....You might recognize Wallis from the amazing ad campaign this year...and Grace is a sheath dress and separate tulle skirt!! So dreamy! So romantic! Love it!!!!

And have you checked out the new Monique Lhuillier website lately??? Better than ever! Includes a section about the lovely Monique herself and some fabulous family photos...and the photos of dresses online are now captioned with their names! Woo hoo! Love it!

Before we get started on today's musings, we must address a very important order of business:: the Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show!!!  If you don't already have your appointment you should call or email as soon as your little fingers will allow... space is VERY limited, as you can imagine, and we want you to get a chance to see the bridal perfection that is known as a Monique Lhuillier gown.... (partial, much?!)

One would think after 4 solid days of fashion shows and  gowns, jewelry and editors (and shopping!) that at some point we'd tire of the 24 hour world of bridal that is market week, yes? WRONG.  What did we do on the plane? Cover to Cover.  Word for Word. Picture by Picture. Magazines!!!  If you don't already own them, you should -- we found ourselves obsessed with the real weddings in all three of these magazines... from big to small, simple to over the top, the coverage on these weddings are brilliant -- three cheers for editorial inspiration!
