Fabulous Friday Feature :)

Good morning ladies!! HAPPY SUNNY FRIDAY!!!!

We are beyond thrilled to share with you today a feature on Weddings Unveiled's blog. Weddings Unveiled is an a-mazing print and online magazine featuring some of the most fresh and distinct Southern inspiration around.

A local favorite of ours, photographer Kristyn Hogan, coordinated a photo shoot a few weeks ago at Front Porch Farms just north of Nashville...the results were magnificent and voila! The sweet gals at Weddings Unveiled featured the inspiration shoot yesterday!

Kristyn worked with event stylist extraordinaire Latrice of Opulent Couturier; Shara of Cakes by Shara; Amber of Sweet Life Designs; and Hillary of Brocade Designs...the results are stunning and we were thrilled to send some of our gowns along for the prettiest grey-and-yellow shoot around!

{Our dresses featured were by Vineyard Collection and Priscilla of Boston. The darling yellow bridesmaid dress is from Lela Rose, and the stunning grey one is by Amsale. To-die-for necklace by Monique Lhuillier. That out-of-control veil :) :) is by PARIS.}

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We are, by and large, in an ivory and white world...but the occasional splash of color is welcome, and we just couldn't resist today's place in history and pop culture....

Save the Dates: Spring 2010!

Happy Spring, dear friends and brides :) :)

This time of year always seems so special....the days are longer, the temperatures are warmer, the summer wedding season is truly being ushered in....

In this spirit of anticipation and change, we thought we'd do a brief update for you on all of the upcoming activities, shows, sales, etc. here at The Bride Room in the coming weeks. We've been posting individually, but if you're like us and you need a list to look over, we're hoping this will help a little.... :)

March 22-27: Online Sample Sale Extravaganza- Yes, sample sales are ongoing and continuous - you can truly walk in and buy a sample off the rack any day. This is just a concentrated effort to showcase some of the loveliest gowns from each collection we have. Each day will feature a different designer. We did this Sample Sale Extravaganza online last year and received a wonderful response. [ Check it out here. We sold many of the featured gowns...so if you see something you like next week, don't wait on it! ]

April 2-3: Monique Lhuillier + Toni Federici Combined Trunk Show- Current and favorite designs from the couture collection by Monique Lhuillier. Feminine, romantic, incredible design. Coupled with the leading veil designs by Toni Federici, this Trunk Show is a must-see. Appointments required. More great details here.

April 10-13: Spring Market, NYC- It is, it's a tough job...but someone has to go to market and see the newest collections. Someone has to bring back the best of the best for you...someone has to go to the city that never sleeps for appointments+fashion shows+meetings+dresses-at-every-turn+shopping+eating+....well...don't worry, we'll manage...;) And we don't want your pity. April 18: EyeCandy Salon Bridal Event - we've teamed up with this incredible salon to provide gowns for an out-of-the-box bridal experience. You know how we love a fashion show :) :)

May 7-8: Amsale + PARIS Combined Trunk Show- A fuller look at Amsale's clean, classic lines for the modern and sophisticated bride. The PARIS Trunk Show is always a treat...PARIS visits The Bride Room to give you a complete styled look for your day. She is amazing...her collection is amazing...you don't want to miss this! Appointments required!

Ongoing- New look, new ideas....We don't want to say too much just yet, but there are some very special changes coming to The Bride Room...stay tuned to hear about how this fab little design company is giving us a fresh look. A season of renewal, indeed.....

A Give-Away (With a Twist!)

We were so excited when one of our newest brides Sarah told us about a fanstastic opportunity she has through the ever-chic Southern Weddings Magazine.....

It's Always About The Dress :)

It's probably never a good thing to start a post with a disclaimer, but please don't judge us...

We promise we are not faithful followers of The Bachelor :) :) We are not contending that this was the TV event of the season - we didn't even watch it! {We didn't need to, it turns out...our fellow vendors and even brides were keeping us in the loop via twitter...looks like we didn't miss much! :)} But we can't help but get a little curious anytime there is such a celebrated wedding event...of course, the most pressing question is always, what will she wear?!??!

So when word got out that the bride would be wearing a custom Monique Lhuillier, we knew that: 1) it would be a-mazing! and 2) we'd have to give into this commercial media frenzy and get a peek of Molly!! {It is Molly, right!?! See, we were even a little confused about the players in last night's wedding, since it came on the heels of the most current season, and all its scandal...or was that just us???} Oh we digress...back to the Lhuillier :)

(are you as stunned as we are that this was the only place to get "real" pictures of this blessed affair???)

Say what you will about the wedding and the show...But the gown??? Lhuillier-loving heart be still! Amazing shape on Molly, beautiful fit, and the texture...oh the texture! Those hand sculpted roses are perfection and a signature Monique touch....we adore the detail and love that went into making this gown for a gorgeous bride!!

Trunk Show Season...maybe truly the most wonderful time of the year!! :) :)

Amber + Taylor | May 16, 2009

Hello lovely ladies...how happy are you that the sun is shining again in Nashville?!? Oh, it is about time :)

With that same spirit of gratitude, we introduce you today to Amber. Amber and her mom were the most delightful women...Amber joined us for a PARIS Trunk Show and found her whole look in one day. She was warm and lovely both in person and on her wedding day in her Watters gown.

We hadn't heard from her in a while and then...lo and behold...a most delightful email found it's way to us last week and we were so thrilled to see that the amazing Weddings Unveiled blog had featured our sweet bride...

What a Weekend!

Hello lovelies....

The fun thing about Trunk Shows like the one we just had is the insanity...all the appointments, all the brides and their families, all the dresses and jewelry!!! And in this very special case, the designer of the collection, too....The down side is we don't really have time to blog or tweet and keep you up to date....

Not to worry, that's why we're here today. :)

We kicked off our wonderful weekend with a full day of appointments, fabulous flowers from Brocade Designs, and the ever-delicious cupcakes from B. Jacksons.

Friday morning was full of incredibly sweet brides and their families. We could go on and on about them all but definitely want to make sure you know Nina...If you follow blogs, be sure and add hers to your regular visits. She's charming and girly and all things fashionable....we loved working with her and helping her find the dress! (Not that she needed our help...read this post to see how easy it was for her to find her gown! Amazing!!) Here's Nina (with Steph, below) and on Twitter, too (which is where the photo came from :)). A living doll, we tell you!

The day led into a private cocktail reception we held for our Platinum by Priscilla of Boston designer. We invited our friends and fellow bridal folks, and our brides who have worn - and will wear - Platinum gowns. It was, in a word, delightful.

Which brings us to Louise...some of you may already know her; perhaps in the bridal world you know her as The Thirty Something Bride. She came to our cocktail party Friday night with Tabitha, a planner and blogger for the amazing Ashley's Bride Guide. Louise was very observant and personable...she was right at home among her new friends, and with camera in hand documented many things we were not able to capture (see image of Platinum gown below...*swoon*). Please do check out her blog...be sure to catch our favorite post here. She's feisty and honest and refreshingly candid. Welcome to our world, Louise. You are a delight!

Girls! The amazing designer of the Platinum collection was kind enough to take some time to answer some questions from a few gals from little ol' Nashville....we were so excited to hear what he had to say, and he didn't disappoint.....read on and enjoy :)
